Utah Economic Assistance Grant (EAG) 2026: Up to $200,000 for Utah Businesses
Utah businesses looking to expand economic opportunity, strengthen communities, or support key industries may qualify for funding through the Utah Economic Assistance Grant (EAG). Administered by the Governor's Office of Economic Opportunity (GOEO), the program provides one-time, project-based grants to businesses undertaking initiatives that contribute to Utah's long-term economic growth. For Fiscal Year 2026, the Utah Legislature allocated $4.5 million to support the program.
About the Grant
The Economic Assistance Grant (EAG) supports projects that promote economic opportunity through industry, education, community development, or infrastructure. Both for-profit and nonprofit businesses are eligible, provided they meet the program requirements. Government entities are not eligible to apply.
Grant Amount
Applicants may request up to $200,000 through one of three funding tiers:
Tier 1: Up to $50,000
Tier 2: More than $50,000 up to $100,000
Tier 3: More than $100,000 up to $200,000
Applications compete only against others within the same funding tier.
Who Can Apply?
Eligible applicants must:
Be a for-profit or nonprofit business.
Have their principal place of business in Utah.
Be registered and in good standing with the Utah Division of Corporations and Commercial Code.
Meet all program eligibility requirements.
Government agencies are not eligible.
