The United States government has decided to aid veterans who are currently residing in the state of New York may be eligible to apply for various types of veteran grants and benefits. According to the local military office in New York, to be eligible for veteran grants;
ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible you must
1. Be a veteran who was enlisted in the military, naval force, or air force, before September 7, 1980. Or:
2. A veteran who was enlisted in the military, naval force, or air force, after September 7, 1980 with at least 24 months of active duty
All veterans in New York are eligible to apply for additional health care benefits provided by the federal government. They will be able to receive veteran health care grants as long as they are eligible for veteran grants.

The office of finance in New York has set aside governmental funding in education grants, small business grants, and housing grants only to qualified veterans in the state of New York. It doesn't matter if you are a "war time" veteran or a "peace time" veteran, there are veteran grants available for everyone who has participated or is currently enrolling in the military, naval force, and/or air force.

Two grant types are available: the Intersections Grant (avg. $20,000) and the Community Grant ($2,500–$5,000). Eligible organizations include 501(c)(3)s, fiscally sponsored orgs, and government entities, except in Loveland. The Community Grant application runs June 15–August 23, while the Intersections Grant requires an LOI by July 2, with full applications July 28–August 23.
HALCYON US HEALTH ACCELERATOR (2026)
Halcyon's US Health Accelerator supports US-based health ventures leveraging technology to improve outcomes and make healthcare more accessible and affordable. Selected entrepreneurs undergo hybrid programming combining virtual and in-person sessions. The program includes a one-week residency in Chicago, five virtual programming days, and a final one-week residency in Washington, DC.
